Experience the thrill of the Torne River, one of Europe’s last untouched rivers and a stunning Arctic waterway that separates the village of Kukkola on the Swedish-Finnish border. Begin by crossing into Finland, where you’ll receive all necessary gear and instructions before stepping into a rubber raft. Everyone participates in steering by paddling, making it a true team adventure.
The first run takes you along the “basic track,” following the deepest stretch of the river and offering a perfect test of your skills. If conditions allow, a second “action track” run adds more challenging rapids for an even greater adrenaline rush. After the adventure, change back into warm clothes, cross the border again, and return to Sweden with the thrill of the river in your veins.
This activity is recommended for participants in normal physical condition aged 15 and up.
