Taste artisanal ice cream at an Arctic farm
The worlds northernmost mustard fields grow under the midnight sun in Torne Valley. Visit the farm Pesula Lantbruk and their farm shop Elmers Gårdsbutik, where you meet Å sa and Pelle Pesula who together with their sons run a third-and-fourth generation farm. The couple are passionate about developing the rural area and keeping the landscape open so people have access to local and sustainable food.
Pesula Lantbruk is a farm that grows and produces organic, high-quality oilseed rape and mustard that are both loved by restaurants and as an everyday staple in the Arctic kitchen. Dairy cows live on the farm and their milk can be found in stores around northern Sweden.
The farm also grows barley grass, which is used to feed the animals and as a base for Brändö Destilleri vodka.
This is where you can taste artisanal ice cream made on-site from the farm s milk, flavoured with handpicked ingredients from natures pantry and carefully selected ingredients.
Learn more about farming by the Arctic Circle and about the extra month in the north. Buy mustard and oil from the farm, or local handicraft from artisans around Swedish Lapland in the farm shop.
