Kalix archipelago is a part of the Gulf of Bothnia, with 4 001 islands. The archipelago has been formed by the Arctic climate and the huge national rivers, carving their way out into the sea for thousands of years. The land uplift since the last ice age has created a shallow and island-rich archipelago, where it take s skill and experience to navigate.
The safari starts by Filipsborg, on the shore of Kalix river, where a guide and skipper take you downstream by boat to the the Arctic archipelago, stopping at one or more islands during the route. This tour offers plenty of beautiful photo opportunities a nd memories that will last a lifetime.
