Experience the golden midnight sun with Cedering’s Horses. The nightless nights happens during the summer when the sun never sets and only you decide when the day ends. The bright evenings create a calm and magical atmosphere when you can hear the sound of silence.
The Cedering family welcomes you to their home by the wild Kalix River. You are met by the North Swedish Draft Horses that live on the Arctic farm, an old Swedish country breed that used to be working horses on the farms and in the forests here in the river valleys back in the day.
You start with helping the family prepare the horse for the carriage ride, while learning about the horse and the breed’s history. When the horse is ready, you sit back in the carriage and can enjoy the ride through the Arctic village and along the untouched Kalix River. This horse-drawn carriage ride offers beautiful views of the forest and the Heart of Lapland landscape.
Back at the farm, you are served a Swedish fika in the barbeque hut or outdoors around an open fire if the weather allows.
