Explore the Nature of Lapland
Explore the Nature of Lapland
Step into the heart of Arctic summer and experience Heart of Lapland at its most vibrant, peaceful, and alive.
This summer package is an 8-day immersion into pristine landscapes, ancient forests, flowing rivers, and timeless traditions in Torne Valley, guided by locals at the cozy B&B Lapland Nature and Health, who know the land by heart. From June to August, when daylight stretches into golden nights, nature sets the pace and every day unfolds with a sense of quiet wonder.
Your journey begins with a warm welcome, local flavors rooted in Tornedalian culture, and an evening walk to the Torne River to witness the magic of the midnight sun. Over the following days, you’ll hike through protected nature reserves with ancient trees, wander along forest trails and lakeshores, and share meals cooked over open fires. There is time to paddle, fish, swim, try stand-up-paddle, and enjoy a sauna by the Torne River — or simply lean back and listen to the wind in the trees.
Midway through the week, the rhythm softens with a free day to rest, reflect, or add optional activities and wellness treatments. Later, you’ll continue deeper into Swedish Lapland’s landscapes with guided hikes, fishing trips to secluded lakes, berry and mushroom foraging, and even the chance to prepare your own homemade jam. As the week draws to a close, a traditional sauna evening invites you into local stories, rituals, and a shared three-course farewell dinner.
This week is not about rushing from place to place. The program gently adapts to the weather and the group, allowing nature to lead and moments to unfold naturally. Every day offers a space to breathe deeply, move your body, and reconnect – with yourself, with others, and with the land.
