Hundreds of spices and medicinal herbs grow at the impressive Rödupp herb garden in Överkalix. It is both fascinating and relaxing to stroll through the herb garden, smell the various plants and learn more about their history and use. Here, you will also find Sweden’s largest commercial berry farm – Polcirkelbär, known for their sweet, flavoursome strawberries and blackcurrants. Pick as many as you like, or order berries already picked – and enjoy! The season runs from approximately July to August but varies depending on the weather, so it’s a good idea to call ahead for more information.
