Whitewater rafting in Kukkola rapids

Torne River, which is separating the village of Kukkola on the Swedish-Finnish border, is a fantastic location for river rafting. First we will cross the border with a raft and get appropriate clothes and instructions on the Finnish side. River rafting is done in a rubber boat and everyone participates in steering by paddling. First time is a trial of your skills and the “basic track” route follows the border, which is also were the river runs deepest. If circumstances allow, the second time will be an “action track” with more challenging tasks. After changing back to regular clothes, we will cross the border and return back to Sweden.
