From Stockholm Arlanda International Airport (ARN) to Luleå Airport (LLA):

Travel comfortably with the Airport Shuttle to Övertorneå in Heart of Lapland, a smaller transfer that is shared with others. By train

The night train from Stockholm is a comfortable option. It passes by Boden, Luleå, Gällivare and Kiruna, where you can continue by train, car or bus.

Travel comfortably, safely and sustainably between Luleå and Haparanda, or via Boden and Kalix on the trainroute Haparandabanan.

Traveling by bus is a chance to take in the scenic routes and embrace slow travel.

By car

The International E-road network crossing the heart of Swedish Lapland includes E4, E8 and E10. When coming from abroad, it might be interesting to know that the borders between Sweden, Norway and Finland are open and you may pass without any border control.

Please use caution if you drive in winter conditions. The roads are usually covered with packed snow and ice, and spiked tires are recommended.

Stay alert year-round, there are plenty of wildlife in the woodlands surrounding the roads and only a few stretches are fenced. The most common animals to see on the road are reindeer, moose, hare and fox.
