Rail trolley – an adventure on the tracks
Travelling on a trolley along the disused Haparandabanan, Sweden’s longest railway for trolleys, is a wonderful way for people of all ages to experience nature.
Soak up the fresh air and enjoy the journey that takes you to lakes, across open fields and through forest landscapes. Listen to the sound of birds chirping and spot reindeers in the wild – maybe you will even get a memorable encounter? The beat of the tracks make history come alive as you pass memories of the heyday of the railway and old station buildings. Travel at your own pace and if you wish, there are many pleasant spots for a picnic.
You rent the trolleys at Vitvattnet’s railway station where your journey starts and ends. It is up to you to decide how far you wish to cycle, there are 93 kilometres of railway tracks to discover for people who want to see it all. The trolley takes up to two people and is relatively easy to use.
Welcome to a summer adventure on the tracks!
