Kukkolaforsen Turist & Konferens AB is expanding with more rooms and aim to double their revenue by 2020. The summer has always been peak season for the company, but during the past few years the interest from international tourists that want to experience winter in northern Sweden has grown rapidly.
– That’s one of the reasons why we need more beds. We have experienced an increased demand for accommodation year-round, which feels great. Those who want to visit us during the winter are looking for the Arctic lifestyle-experience. They have never seen snow – or know how it feels to be outside in sub zero temperatures, says Johannah Spolander to Affärer i Norr.
The dream came true – she takes over Haparanda Stadshotell
Susanne Wallin started working at Haparanda Stadshotell as a 16-year old in 1989. Now she takes over the hotel as the owner and the plan is to attract more international guests with a secret concept.
