In Kukkolaforsen you can enjoy views of Torne River, the national river that always has united Sweden and Finland. Kukkolaforsen is known to many for its local cuisine and was once upon a time declared by the White Guide to be one of Sweden’s top restaurants.
The cottages are equipped with bathrooms and kitchen facilities. There are some larger cottages with two bedrooms, and a kitchen and living room with TV. Some of the cottages provide a more basic standard with access to toilet and shower in the nearby service building.
There are 50 campervan pitches on the campsite and 30 of them have access to electricity. There are excellent tent fields in the area. There is a service building with kitchen, sauna, shower and toilet facilities.
Kukkolaforsen is also the residence of Bastuakademin (“Academy of Sauna”) which offers a wide range of sauna experiences.
Why not also take part in the noble art of net fishing and finish off the day at the restaurant with a true dining experience? The food is locally produced and is prepared in a unique way which is internationally known nowadays.
There are several playgrounds in the area for children and activities such as river rafting.
